our (new) wedding photographer : eric ronald

A few crazy things happened before we stumbled across the wonderful and friendly Eric Ronald. But when we did, we didn't look back... I mean, how can you say no to those beautiful images?

When I realised it was Eric that had shot some of my favorite ever images of beautiful crafty Melbourne weddings (Rin + Joe and Talia + Zacs weddings to be exact) we just HAD to book him.

A few weeks after booking Eric, we saw one of his images in Frankie Magazine, and knew it was all working out perfectly. He was made for us! (We are just glad we booked him BEFORE his photo turned up in Frankie hahah...)

We are meeting Eric this month (in a couple of weeks to be exact!) to have a chat and nut out some details for our big day. I am so excited to see what he captures on our wedding day. I know we are in good hands and we will end up with beautiful amazing memories.

My mum said it was meant to be, finding Eric, and I believe she is right. If you get a chance, go check out his website.... (especially the weddings I mentioned above) You can't go past him if you want a Melbourne based photographer.

6 months to go!

Hello friends,

Today marks 6 months exactly til our wedding. So excited!! We have been so busy planning all kinds of fun things for our wedding, it's going to be a blast. 90% of our wedding is DIY or stuff sourced from vintage bazaars, op shops, online and markets. I even found a whole heap of retro confetti!

On top of all the fun things happening, our original photographer had to cancel last month, which sucked a LOT, but we were lucky enough to find an amazing photographer to shoot our big day, and turns out he was perfect for us all along. His name is Eric Ronald, and I had swooned over quite a few of his weddings prior to booking him, and upon realising it was HIM doing all the great weddings I have loved, we snapped him up.

So happy and looking forward to meeting him in person next month.. woo!

Our other wedding plans have been going really well, Christian has been working hard on many giant DIY projects which require lots of wood being cut, and things being painted. We've also signed our intent to marry and our celebrant is the funniest and nicest lady ever.......To top it all off, her name is Jane Austin!!!

Here is the state of my lady room at present... which is now dubbed "the wedding room"...

What else has been happening? Well, yesterday I got tattooed by Lauren Winzer when she was in town for a few days. She was incredibly nice and friendly, and well, check out what she did! SO awesome. I will definitely be getting more done by her in the future.

My sis Belle has been busy planning my secret wedding shower... I am so intrigued as to what she is planning. I have been told nothing except the date, which is September 15!!! So exciting! I have the cutest and best bridesmaid of honour ever!! :)

Well, that's about it from me. Christian bought me a new camera for Easter (thanks baby!) so I will be attempting to take more photos on my real camera from now on, and will be back sooner than later, promise! It's just been way to easy to take photos on my phone and upload them to Instragram than spend time blogging, but I want to keep blogging so I can document the countdown to our wedding.

glitter goats : diy

With a whole lot of left over glitter from my last project, I decided it was time to glitter up some more wedding stuff.... so I asked Christian to cut out some wood for me to make signs for the ceremony.

Of course, we are having goats at our ceremony, so I needed a goat sign. Christian then asked me "do you think you could draw a goat?" and I said "YES!" and this is what happened next....

He cut me out my very own goat... (which I then attacked with glitter and a red velvet bow!)

We have since made two more goat cut outs for the kissing booth and I am in the process of making them a gorgeous teal colour, which I will then also attack with glitter. We have been visiting Masters HEAPS lately. I am loving all this DIY stuff.

So much fun! (That's the bottom of our kissing booth, and the two goats which I am painting in teal glitter!!!!)

Our wedding is starting to look amazing, there are SO many things to do still.... The decorations are becoming more and more outrageous as the day gets closer.

Here are some other fun things we have found/made for the wedding lately...

And here is me and a goat....

Tonight we are off to see the new Oz movie, I can't wait! I would wear my ruby slippers, but I have a special occasion to save them for... hehe.
