our new friends : fiona and ben!

Hello friends!

So, where have we been? Enjoying REAL life it seems.

We have been super busy with wedding stuff and enjoying the spare time we have (which isn't much lately) watching lots of movies we seemed to miss in 2010 - 2012.

We have also become obsessed with the TV show Grimm, and have been staying up late watching it every Thursday night. Oh yes, and my hair is now back to natural, I managed to get the black out naturally with VITAMIN C tablets! Yes, it's true. Strange, I know.

Last weekend, we met a beautiful couple, Fiona and Ben, who visited Melbourne from RADelaide.

Fiona blogs at Fiona At Large and contacted me a while back (I took ages to reply because it went to my spam folder... ooops bad Donna) and told me she loved our blog and that she was coming to Melbourne soon and wanted tattoo advice.

I wrote back telling her about my awesome artist Zoe, and the rest, as they say, is history!

We met up last Sunday and took Fiona and her hubby Ben to our favorite Fed Square restaurant, The Chocolate Buddha for some yummy Japanese food, and because it was Chinese New Year, we saw the lucky dragons roaming the streets and restaurants and all kinds of fun things were happening. We also took Fiona and Ben to Retro Star, and then we found some yarn bombs and proceeded to take way too many photos of us cuddling the trees.

Fiona did a big blog post all about our adventures (and the tattoo she ended up getting off my awesome artist Zoe!!!!) - go read it here!

And now.. here are lots of photos of our fun day.. (minus the boys)

It was so fun to meet another blog lady in real life. I feel like there's hardly any of us here in Melbourne, and there's so many overseas who I feel like I will never get to meet! We have met a few lovely bloggers now, Athina the babe (who doesn't have a blog anymore!) and her hubby Chris, Lou and her gorgeous wife Heather (and their farm of kitties, pugs, chickens and soon to be baby!!) and now Fiona and Ben. We are still trying to get together with Katie and Reuben, which I am sure will happen eventually hehe. They're way closer than they used to be in NSW, but it's still a long journey to get to them, so I promise guys, we will do it eventually! 2013 is the year of meet ups!

I've also been lucky enough to meet a lot of other sweeties through blogging, small business owners, tattooists etc...

Anyway, our new friends Fiona and Ben are planning on coming back to Melbourne for some AFL initiation at the MCG and we will no doubt get up to mischief again, and eat lots of yummy stuff. I hope we can go visit them in Adelaide too at some stage, maybe after all our wedding expenses are done with!

Speaking of which, we have been crafting SO much lately. I will update you on that stuff in a separate post. We are meeting with our wedding celebrant this weekend, so that is REALLY exciting!

Hope everyone is well, lots of love, D (and C) xo
